HI FRIENDS

Hi friends!

How are you all doing? Hows work? Hows school? Hows your family? Hows your friends? What are you being for Halloween? What makes you smile everyday? I wanna know!

Anyways this week was weird after Hermana Godoy got ETed to Fairfield. I got so used to being in a trio that it seems weird to only have two of us now even though that is what is actually normal. It has been fun though because me and Hermana Hansen have already gotten a lot closer!

So another pair of hermanas in our district had a baptism this week and we got Manuel to come! He was a little late though and literally walked in as they were closing the font so that was too bad but there were some really awesome talks and music that I think he really needed to hear. He told us he was coming to church again the next day but then texted us sunday morning and told us that he couldnt anymore so that was sad because Salvador was also working so we didnt have anywhere there. But our ward does volleyball on wednesdays and both Salvador and Manuel said they wanted to go so I am super hoping that works out and they will make some friends in the ward!

So our district leader, Elder Myers, has a tradition that after every baptism, everybody shotguns a soda. So I attempted that for the first time. Emphasis on the word attempted because i epically failed. I really wish I could send videos but I cant and dont know how to like share it with everyone through google drive so just imagine it and laugh at me because I struggle hardcore but its fine! Other thing I tried for the first time this week: PANERA BREAD and oh my goodness its delicious and Utah needs to get it together and get one of those before I come home! Also ive been fed lasagna like 3 times in the past week so that was also fun because i didnt even know Hispanics ate lasagna!

I also went on exchanges with my STL Sister Morrison, so I was 100% english for a day and it was interesting to go tracting in white neighborhoods because those people are a lot ruder than hispanics. Also we saw HUGE spider as far as huge spiders in america go! Also this old guy with a long white beard who kind reminded me of Santa Claus talked to us for 2 seconds before he was like "ya know thats just not fair. If you are gonna walk around and talk about God, you've gotta be ugly" lol. We also tracted into a nice man with some very thoughtful antimormon opinions. So that was hard to listen to. Its really sad for me to see people with such ideas like the Book of Mormon contradicting the bible and Joseph Smith being a lunatic because they're hearts are just so hard and they are so closed off to possibly finding the truth. Like he would say something he thought we believed and then when we actually explained how we thought he was just angrily move onto something else. It was hard to listen to for so long. But honestly, his goal was to get us to leave and not value the Book of Mormon and just question everything we thought we knew, but all it did was make my testimony stronger because a testimony is truly found in the bearing of it and all I wanted to do was help that man to hear the truthfulness of my testimony and bring him some peace, even if he didnt want to let me talk. So yeah exchanges were interesting.

Thats all I got for now! I love you all so incredibly much and am so grateful for your prayers and your emails and your examples to me. Keep being the wonderful people you are!

love,

scripture of the week: Mosiah 2:41 And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it.
