NEW TRANSFER, WHO DIS?

HI FRIENDS!

So what better way to start a transfer than with a baptism, am I right? Salvador s baptism was yesterday and it was AMAZING! I am so glad that I got to speak at the baptism and be apart of the whole process. We extended the baptismal invitation my second day in the field and the day finally came. My favorite thing is that anytime any person starts talking to him and either asks him how he is or says congratulations or anything, she goes off into a rant about how much happier he is and how much of a blessing the gospel is and it's incredible! All he wants is for his friends and family to have this gospel now as well and he just tries and tries and tries to get them to come to things and he is just awesome. I so admire his love and enthusiasm for missionary work already!

Yesterday Manuel finally came to church again! And he brought 5 kids with him! I think only 2 of them were his and I honestly don't know hos relation to the other ones but we had 4 investigators at church because of it so that was awesome!

We had this cool experience with our investigator, Martha, this week. We hadn't seen her in a long time (i actually hadn't ever met her) but then she randomly came to church last Sunday and then let us come over on Wednesday so we retaught the restoration because it had been a while and she just said some really cool things. First of all, she has a strong belief that kids are a lot smarter than people usually give them credit for and so her thoughts on joseph smith being 14 were that "of course he was so young because he was still innocent so he could be close to God" so it's cool that she recognizes that. Also after we finished she said something along the lines of "it makes sense that he got an answer because he did what Christ dis. He followed his example by separating himself to go to a grove of trees to pray so he could be close to God" and I just thought that was a really cool perspective that I had never thought of before!

So Agustin, the convert who was baptized last week, makes the BEST horchata! So on Friday I told him that I loved it and guess what he brought me the next day? A giant container of horchata about the size of those cheese ball containers! I was so pumped!! But we were at the ward thanksgiving dinner and I had to put it in the fridge so a member brought it out with all the other drinks hahaha but that's okay I was happy to share! But then Agustin felt bad so he said he is making more for when he has us over for dinner tomorrow! YAY!

Okay that's all for this week! Love you all lots! Have the best Thanksgiving and remember to thank God for all your blessings!!

love,

Scripture of the week: Alma 36:27 Now my brethren, we see that God is mindful of every people, whatsoever land they may be in; yea, he numbereth his people, and his bowels of mercy are over all the earth. Now this is my joy, and my great thanksgiving; yea, and I will give thanks unto my God forever. Amen.
