MERRY CHRISTMAS FRIENDS!!!
first, I am super sorry I didn't write last week. It was transfer week and Hermana Hansen was going home so it was our last day together and we had to get a lot of last minute things figured out and yeah it was just a super crazy day! But speaking of transfers: My new companion is hermana Derr and she is the cutest ever. The members have started calling her Hermana sonrisa (smile) because she is always smiling and laughing. I am super excited to get to work with her for these 7 weeks!
This is going to be a shorter email but I just wanted to share how much I love Christmas! This is my most favorite time of year because it just feels happy and that is because of the joy we have because of Christ. Remember that he is the reason for the season. He is why we celebrate. And there would be no Christmas if there was no Easter. He is the greatest gift and true joy is only found through the acceptance of his atoning sacrifice and remembrance of his infinite love. I am so grateul for my savior and I am so grateful that during this Christmas season, I get to teach about him and the true meaning of Christmas every single day. He is the reason why I am here, why i left my family and my home for 18 months. I am so far from perfect, but every day I get to wear the perfect name and be reminded of Him and strive to be more and more like him. I encourage you all to take some time today to remember why we celebrate this day. And to keep lighting the world. Remember the spirit of Christmas throughout the rest of the year and you will be able to keep the joy of christmas time with you!
