HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY
Hey friends!
So it wasnt a super eventful week, but we did get to meet with Miriam again since she got back from Mexico! She was so funny though because we had set a baptismal date before she left and then we were talking and she said something like "so i have kind of a doubt about baptism... i was talking to a friend about it and i didnt realize that i would have to stop being catholic if i got baptized" haha anyways we solved her concern but we both agree she just isnt quite prepared yet so we are holding off on a set date for now and just going to focus on helping her learn and grow her testimony. She is awesome though!
We had a cool experience doing a little finding this week. We had some stuff come up with Leticia that I will explain next but anyways that took up some unexpected time so we had like 20 minutes before dinner which is a super awkward amount of time. But we were near a couple potentials we had wanted to go try to visit and one was named Karla. well actually they were both named karla... but the first karla! We knocked and she was a little surprised when we asked for Karla but was really nice and agreed to watch a video. She loved the video and was so grateful that we had stopped by. She got a little emotional and told us she had some big tests of some kind coming up and we had stopped by at just the right time. She explained how she was feeling chills and we explained how the holy ghost works and she was really excited about us coming back so we are super excited to do that this week!
Okay so Leticia! She has had a bit of a hard week. Basically there was a big misunderstanding and some stuff went down with her daughter who she lives with and she got kicked out of the house. So it is her and her two youngest kids (14 and 16) and they are kind of homeless. They stayed i a hotel for a night but Leticia doesnt work so she doesnt have any income. She ended up having a sister she can stay with a little more nearby for a few days while she looks for a new place. And it has just been kind of crazy because she found work but doesnt start for another week or two and it is all just complicated. But she wanted to meet with us and we are just so amazed by her faith. We were worried because this is right after her baptism bt she just kept saying that she knows this is Satan just trying to discourage her and that because sheh believes in God, everything is going to work out. I just love her and just never stop praying for her.
