HEY FRIENDS
Hey friends!
So this past transfer was a 7 week transfer because the missionary department put our mission on a different track so we had an extra week. So our zone was really pushing finishing strong and they even put together a video of all of our trainers motivating us and it was so cool! So Hermana Morales and I wanted to to really try our best this week and we were able to find 5 new people to teach and they all seem pretty solid! So we are SUPER excited about that!!
One of the people we found is named Gloria. We contacted her getting out of her car and she was so ready to talk. Man does she love to talk! We ended up talking outside her car about Christ and about missions and serving for a good hour and then she had to run inside and a while back we had asked to show a video so she told us to come inside to watch the video. We then kept talking and ended up teaching a simplified restoration lesson and she is really interested in joseph smith and wants to read the book of Mormon so it was super cool! We ended up spending nearly 2 hours with her and it was crazy!!
We also found this lady named Karla. (The third Karla we have found recently) it was really cool though because we were just trying to contact some potentials but it was kinda a sketchy street so we weren't going to knock any extra doors. But we passed this one and you could tell there was people and loud music and they were probably busy so we walked past it but then hermana Morales stopped and said that we had to go back. So we did and met Karla and she was SO NICE! She had met with missionaries before and still had pamphlets that were given to her 10 years ago! We are so excited to go back and talk to her some more! Its crazy how easy it can be to almost miss promptings, we have to be constantly listening because they are always there, we just aren't always ready to hear them.
The sad news is that transfers docs came out yesterday and Hermana Morales is being sent to Santa Rosa :( we both thought she was going to stay for one more so it came as a surprise. She will be missed by so many people here. But my new companions name is Hermana Leiva! She is from Belize and she came out the same time as me and I'm excited to get to work with her 😊
I hope you are all as PUMPED for conference as I am!! It's truly an incredible opportunity that we have to listen to the word of God through living prophets wo make aure to tune in this weeked!! Love you!!
