conference feels

Hey friends!!

I hope you all got a chance to watch general conference because it was so good!! I absolutely loved it!! Isnt it so neat to think about well God's church is set up so that even when a leader passes away, it all keeps moving fluidly and man did Russell M. Nelson just jump right it and take off! To quote Elder Holland, "what a prophet!" I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to sustain President Nelson on saturday morning during the solemn assembly. I received a firm witness that morning that he really is God's chosen prophet and is here to help us and guide us. I am so grateful for that manifestation of Gods love.

I loved so many things about conference and so many of the talks but I found that one stood out to me particularly in every session. First was Brian K Taylors about the power of remembering that we are children of God. Second was David A Bednars talk on meekness and how meekness is righteous responsiveness, willing submissiveness, and strong self restraint. Third was a toss up between Massino De Feo's talk about pure love and Russell M Nelson's about revelation and fourth was Deiter F Uchtdorf's on Beholding the Man. I received so many answers and truly personal revelation in these talks and I know that there is revelation in these and all the others for you too. If you didnt get a chance to watch it, I highly encourage it. It was a really special experience and such a blessing for us to get to hear Gods words though his chosen mouthpieces.

last thing about conference: 7 NEW TEMPLES WHAAT. and temples in INDIA AND RUSSIA?! Have you ever been so excited?? i havent. Crazy thing though. I live with and serve with two other sisters in this ward and Sister Suffert just got a new greenie on Tuesday, sister Chavan, from INDIA!! and we were talking the other day about how india needs a temple and she said everyone there thinks that when india finally gets a temple, the second coming will be right behind it. so yeah then 2 days later a temple in india was announced and we all freaked out and she cried and it was such a sweet moment. I always take forgranted the blessings of the temple so close that i grew up with and it was really cool to see how life changing it can be for someone to learn that there will be a temple in their country and how they know it will change the life of so many people close to them. I am so grateful the Lord is hastening his work in previously unreached places!

I got my new companion Hermana Leiva this week! She is really fun and we are getting along great. It has been cool to work with her because we have different things that we are comfortable with. Such as she really loves less active work becuse of the ministering that takes place and becauase of the finding opportunity. Less active work is not something i have done very much of up to this point in my mission so we are going to put a focus on that this transfer and we have already had some great visits and i am really excited about it. Between that and some of our other goals, i think it is going to be a great transfer!

Well transfers and conference were the big exciting things this week. Other than that, work continues as usual. I hope you all had a wonderful easter, that the easter bunny treated you well, and that you were able to take some time to remember Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for you. I love you all!
love,
