BELIEVE IN MIRACLES

Hey friends! Happy Monday 🌻

After basically 3 months of really long days and slow work here in fairfield, we are experiencing some major miracles! So some of you may know and some of you may not but last Tuesday was national chocolate chip cookie day so on Monday we tripled my cookie recipe and made 160 cookies!! We bagged 'em all up with pass along cards, gave some to the English sisters in our ward and hit the streets after district meeting knocking doors and handing out cookies. It was so cool because we literally talked to everyone! And even if basically nobody was interested, they knew who we were and that we were doing a nice thing. We were doing this all afternoon and basically nobody was very interested in more than the cookies (I was quite honestly surprised at the amount of people who turned down the cookies and think they need to see a doctor asap as something must be very wrong) until the second to last house where we met Ramona. She is like 60 and goes to church every Sunday and has very strong faith, but also doesn't know very much because she can't read. She was so humble and just wanted to hear everything we had to say! It was so cool getting to talk to her and then at the end she accepted a baptismal invitation and is getting baptized in July! We are so excited for her!

Then we also got this referral from missionaries in another zone and she told us to come Wednesday morning. Her name is Mayra and she is the cutest young mom with 3 boys (2 are 11 month old twins 😍) we taught her about the restoration and then talked about our families and the example we can set for kids. We helped her to see how following Jesus Christ is the best way to raise our kids and have good homes. We then invited her to be baptized and she also said yes and has a date in july!! She is really really solid and came to church (huge miracle bc we have the HARDEST time getting people to church) yesterday and is just amazing! I'm so excited for her!!

The English Class we started had 4 people this week! (It only had 1 last week) and we have quite a few more people that want to come! Plus the English sisters have lots of Hindi speaking investigators who don't know English (because of sister chavan) and they want to bring them and the bishop said if we get more than 10 people coming regularly he can go to the stake president who can go to the mission president to get a senior couple out here assigned to do English classes which would be awesome to be able to do classes more than once a week and accommodate different levels. Our ward mission leader has huge dreams for this which is awesome. We have heard of a lot of success stories from English classes because it helps the community but also gets people into a church building and familiar with the missionaries so that they can feel the spirit. It's been really good so far and I ma excited to see what happens with it!

Well all in all it has been an amazing week! I love you all and am so grateful for all your love, prayers, and support. I hope you have a fantastic week ❤

love,
