1 WEEK IN NAPA
Hey friends!
My first week in Napa has been fantastic! I have a really awesome zone, area, roommates, and companion! It's been so much fun to be with hermana young again and see how we have changed and grown since the MTC. She is a really incredible missionary and I am just learning tons from her. The area is a little hectic right now because we took over all the English work for the ward too so we are trying to figure out how to manage both pus work with the ward to reactivate because basically all of the Hispanic members are inactive and it's been a crazy week but I am loving it!
The ward here is really different than in Fairfield because they aren't too missionary minded. Apparently the less active initiative is just starting so that's really awesome but I guess most of the members aren't too helpful with missionary work so one of our biggest goals this transfer is to build up member trust in us and our work as well as help them to be excited about it. We really can't do what we do without members so we hope to be able to get some excitement going through the ward.
We have an appointment with a girl named Maddie tonight and I'm super excited! She went to girls camp with the ward and has some friends so then she came to church and said she wants meet with us to learn more and be baptized!! So I'm so excited to get to know her and help her on that path!
We've had a few other teaching appointments but everybody is pretty new right now so we will see who starts to become serious investigators and where things go. We are trying to do lots of finding and organizing between the two areas too so we are pretty busy but we are excited and looking forward to another great week!
