BEFRIENDING DUCKS
Hi friends!
It's been another rougher week, with a lot of our investigators being pretty flaky, but that meant we had a lot of finding time which we needed! We were able to find 5 new investigators and it was awesome! Two of them were teenage girls and they both seem to need a little bit of help, so we are excited to see that they are interested in learning more about Jesus Christ. Also one oh them is named Blue so that is pretty cool.
The day we found her was cool because it was the end of the week and we were just a little bit frustrated and discouraged because none of our investigators were getting back to us and we just really wanted to find some people to teach. So we called our zone leader who is basically a personal motivational speech to pump us up a little. And then we went knocking and it was really cool. One of the first few houses we met a man named Carlos who has a wife and 5 kids and they have met with missionaries in the past. It ended a little poorly but he invited us back! And then a couple houses later we met a lady named Maria and she was so sweet! We were able to teach her the restoration on her doorstep and she was so excited to start reading the book of Mormon! We are really excited to go back! Then we met a guy named Mike and he just came out and talked to us for like 20 minutes just about random stuff and him and his wife didn't end up being interested but it was so nice because most people don't want to talk to us at all, so it was cool to talk to him. Then we met blue a little more down the street and we taught her about the plan of salvation and she was really great! It usually takes 45 minutes to and hour to tract one side of a street and we ended up being there for an hour and a half because we got to talk to so many people. It was a really well needed miracle and we were so grateful!
I also got to see my old companion hermana derr and her family while they were touring the mission! She was Hermana Leiva's trainer too so it was so fun for both of us to get to go to lunch with her!
We had zone conference this week and it was a little rough one because it was president and sister Wright's last one before they end their missions. It was so good though! By far the best zone conference I've had yet. It was the perfect combination of fun and spiritual and I learned so much. At the end, president always calls on a few people to bear their testimony and he was picking on me last transfer so I figured I was safe. But he had a few people go and I was in tears already because of people talking about things they'd learned from president and sister Wright and then president said that I would be the last one and I lost it. So I was bawling like a baby and basically word vomiting what I guess was a testimony and then they both bore theirs and the conference ended and it was hilarious because hermana Leiva was like awkwardly patting my arm because crying makes her h comfortable and she didn't know what to do. Also word of advice for all: hugging people that are trying to stop crying is NOT helpful hahaha. Anyways I'm gonna miss president and sister Wright a lot but I'm excited for the change. They've been such a blessing but I know Presidnet and sister meservy will do wonderful things for the Santa Rosa mission!
I love you all! Have a fabulous week!

And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
