NERF WARS

Hi friends!

Sorry I didn't get to writing last week, the time just completely got away from me! But I'll try to catch you all up real quick.

We finished teaching Maddie all the lessons so now we are just helping her to continue to grow her testimony and prepare for baptism. She is honestly so amazing. She takes time every night to read and study and find out what the scriptures mean. And her and her parents took a trip out to Sacramento just to go to deseret book. She bought a picture of the temple and put it above her bed. She is so excited to go there! And we are all so excited for her baptism in August. I'm so impressed by her and her faith every day. I can't explain how amazing it is to be able to see how the gospel changes someone and brings out the best in them.

I hope you all had an awesome fourth of July because I sure did! That morning we met our new mission president and his wife and 3 of their kids. It was a little weird at first but we ended up having a great meeting and I'm super excited to get to know them! We have zone conference this week so I'm expecting some changes to come but I'm excited to see what happens and how we improve the mission! We also went to a BBQ on the 4th and I ran into some members from Fairfield and it made my whole day! Then we volunteered at a fair that evening and it was a lot of fun to get to talk to people and tell people why we were wearing suits and dresses at a fair 😂

This week we did a lot, but it wasn't too exciting. There was a lot of "busy work" that we needed to take care of to get more organized and help our ward out with less active work. But it was super awesome because we are definitely starting to build some more trust with members of the ward. They ask us more about our work and what to do and ask our opinions. So just in the 4 weeks since I've been here, I'm seeing improvement and I'm really excited to see whay else we can do to help the ward.
