ONE YEAR

Hey friends!!

I hope you all had a fantastic week because i sure did! First off, I hit my one year mark this week! It is crazy to think that I only have 6 months left but i am grateful for every minute that I get to be here! I have learned so much from the past year, one of the biggest being that nothing brings more happiness than living the gospel and then sharing it with others. i have seen all the little things, slowly add up and completely change everything in my life. True happiness comes from living the gospel. And I cant explain the joy that comes from seeing it bring that happiness into another persons life, too. Helping people to know their Savior and to discover the blessings of being faithful is the best feeling in the world. I just love being a missionary!!

This week we met a girl named Sara and it was the neatest experience! Earlier in the day, while we were planning, Hermana Young mentioned how much she really wanted to help a whole family learn and accept the gospel. And then during comp study, I was talking about the promises that because of the light of Christ, when we share our message, the Holy Ghost will connect with that light of Christ in the people we teach, and the message will sound familiar and make sense to them. I mentioned how you would think that would happen more often, but it doesn't. Then later, we were walking down the street and we crossed to go talk to a lady doing yard work. We offered to help and she said no, but that we could talk while she worked. We started talking and then she told us she had always wondered what the difference between all the different Christian churches was (golden question). So we taught the restoration and she thought it was the coolest thing! She kept thanking us for sharing this with her and then told us that out of all the things her religious friends had told her, this made the most sense. We told her we would love to come back and she wants us to teach her AND her four children!! So boom. right there. Heavenly Father gave both of us what we wanted and showed us, yet again, that he hears us and loves us and will perform miracles when we show him our faith. We are so excited to meet her family this week and get to teach them!

It had been forever since Hermana Young and I had had Mexican food and we were seriously craving it. So we found a taqueria to go to when we didnt have a dinner and it was delicious!! But we went home and told the sisters we live with about it and then they wanted to go to a taqueria the next night because neither of us had a dinner the following day. So we went again! And it was delicious again!! But it had been so long since I've consistently ate Mexican food that I forgot what it does to your insides. Needless to say, hermana young and I didn't feel too great for like 48 hours but that didn't hold us back! It was super worth it. I miss Hispanics and Mexican food haha ❤

Okay I love you pals! I hope you have a great week!

love,
