HAPPY LABOR DAY
Hey friends!
We had such a great week! We had a lesson with Sara on Tuesday and it was incredible. We had taught her the restoration really quickly and briefly so when we came back, she had lots of really great questions. At the end, she told us that she was so grateful that we were so genuine and answered all of her questions even when she didn't really know how to ask them. We then invited her to be baptized and she said yes and we set the date for September 29th! I AM SO EXCITED!! She also has a friend who is getting out of jail and wants to turn his life around that She is going to bring to our next lesson! Wahoo!! She is just one of the coolest people I have ever met and I am so happy that we get to keep working with her and hopefully her family.
We got to witness 3 baptisms this weekend! One of them was for two young girls, Megan and Carina. In July, we went to a young women's activity in their ward and got to be in a companionship with a young woman and teach the restoration. Megan was my companion and she was amazing!! She's been going to church for 6 years but never got baptized but after the activity decided it was what she wanted to do. I love her!! There's nothing like seeing people you love so much take that step towards their Heavenly Father and watching the gospel change their life. I love it ❤
We got to have 2 dinners with 2 different semi-active Spanish families this week and it was so much fun!! Man, my Spanish is a little rusty though. It was hard but a lot of fun and a lot of good food! I love getting to work with Hispanic people :)
I love all you wonderful people and hope you enjoy your labor day and have fantastic week!
