YOU'RE A LAME WORM - HERMANA YOUNG
Hey friends!
I have an awesome story to tell you! So a little while ago, we were teaching a man named Luis (who we found at the perfect time btw) and he had a baptismal date and was progressing really well, but then he kind of dropped off the face of the earth the past month. We were super sad and have tried to visit and contact him without much luck. But then this past friday while we were planning, he texted us from a different number, told us he lost his phone but really wanted to talk to us, and asked when we could meet!! So we were so excited and set up a time for Saturday night, but when we got there, he wasn't there at first. But we did get to talk to the less active lady he lives with and one of her daughter's that we had been trying to meet for the longest time! So as we were talking to her, Luis showed up. We went and had a FANTASTIC lesson! He is struggling with a lot of things but seems to really be recognizing how the gospel helps him. We reset his baptismal date for November 17 and we're so excited!! Then the next day, the less active lady (Patricia) came to church and brought her two daughters!! One of the daughters is named Adriana and she is 9 and wants to be baptized! So now we are going to start teaching her! It has been crazy how the timing has worked our perfectly with them. God really does have a plan and has perfect timing. He is in charge of this work and the director of our lives. We just have to be willing to walk and he will guide us as we go.
I also last minute got asked to speak in church on Sunday. I found out at about 8:30 Saturday night. But luckily, I like speaking in church! They asked me to talk a little bit about the joy of sharing the gospel so it was super easy!! I referenced Alma 26 a lot and just got to bear my testimony of how great God is and how much I love Him and helping other people to know him. I think it went well especially for how last minute it was.
We also got transfer information on Sunday! Me and hermana young are both staying again!! Woohoo! This will be my 3 transfer with her in Napa, plus the MTC, meaning at the end of this transfer, we will have been companions for a total of 6 months!! Good thing I love her! We are really excited for this transfer!
