HI FRIENDS

Hi friends!

We met the coolest girl this week. We were calling a bunch of people who had previously been taught/contacted by missionaries and we were able to set up an appointment with a girl named Ivanna. She is darling! She has a 6 month old baby and so she is really looking for a good church that her daughter can grow up in. So we went over and we intended to teach about the restoration, but beforehand we prayed that we would be able to establish a good relationship and some trust to go off of. Because of that, we werent able to teach everything we planned but were able to really start to get to know her and understand some of her needs and righteous desires and i definitely think that we started a good friendship and were able to teach a testify a little bit about the Book of Mormon and I honestly think that it went exactly how it needed to go. She seems so excited to learn and even though she wasn't able to come to church yesterday, we have high hopes for her future in the gospel!

So fun thing: I translated sacrament meeting for the first time yesterday! We do it every week but Hermana Ferrel has been doing it for practice. So yesterday was my first time and MAN was it stressful. It was probably not very good because they were talking so fast and explaining lots of things about the new church changes and i was pretty lost. But, lucky for me, nobody was there actually listening to it! We don't translate for too many people and none of them were there yesterday, but I figured it would be good practice for when people are there, so I did it anyways. Hopefully I do better next time and I know that when it is really important, Heavenly Father will help get the message across even if I don't know all the words.

We also got to have interviews with President this week and it was so good to hear him. He gave me some really great advice on entering my last transfer. My favorite thing he said was, "imagine if the Savior slowed down his last month/week. What if he said 'Well, its been a good 33 years. I need a break. I'm sure it won't effect the work I have put in up to this point.' Had he done that, he never would have changed the world. Similarly, you don't know what effect you can have in your last month/week/day." I just loved that. We never know the impact we can have in just one week or one day so when we have the opportunity, we need to serve the Lord and serve others with all we have.

Exciting events this week: we have a mission conference with the Area President tomorrow and we are going to the temple with Peter on Saturday. WOOHOO! I'm pumped!

Well I am a little short on time so I have got to run, but I hope you all have a fantastic week!

Con mucho amor
Hermana Galli

Scripture of the week: Alma 37:16 But if ye keep the commandments of God, and do with these things which are sacred according to that which the Lord doth command you, (for you must appeal unto the Lord for all things whatsoever ye must do with them) behold, no power of earth or hell can take them from you, for God is powerful to the fulfilling of all his words.
