ITS THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

Hi friends!

My last transfer call came in and I am staying in Vacaville, but Hermana Ferrel is heading to Napa. I am so sad to see her go but super excited for her to go love all of my people in Napa!! And super fun news: Hermana Young and I are going to be companions again!! If you're new to my emails or just need a refresher, Hermana Young was my MTC companion and we also were together for 3 transfers in Napa, so, in total, this will be our 5th transfer as companions which is pretty crazy. I am super excited though!! It will be lots of fun because we started our missions together and now we will get to end them together too. It'll be great! The other change is that they are splitting our work back into english and spanish so we will only do spanish and we have to pass off all the English work to some elders that are coming in. I am definitely sad to not get to teach some of those people anymore, but I am trusting that God must have some good plans for both of areas that wouldn't be able to happen if we were doing both. It will be a great last transfer!

Last week we had a mission conference with Elder Whiting, who is a counselor in our Area Presidency. It was so cool to see all of the missionaries in one place and it was such a blessing to be instructed by Him. He talked a lot about President Nelson's emphasis on gathering Israel and talked about how we, as missionaries, are not just trying to find scattered Israel, but to gather it, so we need to follow the prophet and pick up the pace. One of my favorite things he talked about was how we need to truly be converted to the Book of Mormon. We need to know why it is important and how it has affected us. When we introduce the Book of Mormon, or the gospel in general, we can't just state what it is, but how it helps us. He related it to how people in our generation love reading reviews. We read reviews before we buy things online, go out to eat, try a new provider of any kind of service, etc. So we cant just give people descriptions, but we have to give reviews and it has to come from the heart. I loved it! I loved the whole meeting. The spirit was so strong and I was definitely inspired to do all that I can to give it my all, all the way to the end.

The most exciting part of our week was getting to go to the temple with Peter! On Saturday, Him and his girlfriend, Nicole, picked us up and before the temple they took us to get lunch in Sacramento at... CAFE RIO!!!!! WOOOO!!! GUYS IT WAS THE BEST EVER!!! It had been a long 17 months without it. Then the day just kept getting better! Peter started getting really into family history so he had some names to be baptized for and then we printed some female names from his family and he was able to baptize us for them. It was such a cool experience! It was also the first time that I got to do temple work for some of my own ancestors that I found myself. So that combination led to an incredibly strong spirit felt and a renewed love for God and his work of salvation. We took lots of fun pictures, and as if that wasnt enough to already make it the best day ever, they wanted to take us out to dinner too and we went to the Cheesecake Factory. It was absolutely delicious! We had such a fantastic day; good food, good friends, and a good temple trip. I am so blessed to know these people!!

Well friends, its been a fabulous week. I hope you are all doing well! I love you lots!
