GOD LOVES YOU!
Hi friends! Sorry that it has been a hot minute since I got an email out. I'll give you the best recap I can of the past few weeks though.
We started teaching a woman named Stephanie. She was referred to us by her sister, who lives in Arizona and converted a few years ago. She has been trying to get Stephanie to meet with the missionaries ever since and she always said no, until now. Stephanie has had a really hard life and recently just hit an all time low and has been significantly humbled by the Lord and is ready for a change. She has lots of personal problems to work through, but I think she recognizes that the gospel has blessed her sister's life in so many ways, that she is hoping it can do the same for her. We have had 3 lessons so far and she has been reading the Book of Mormon. She also came to church with us this past week and we are looking forward to talking to her about it this week. She is one of the most prepared people I have ever met and I am so grateful to be able to help her start her journey to a better life. I am so excited for her!
We have also been teaching a girl named Addie. She is 10 and she goes to church with her mom, sister, and grandparents when she is with them and not her dad. She has been learning and wants to get baptized because she wants to get closer to God and knows it is something God wants her to do. She is super intelligent for her age and it has been lots of fun to meet with her. She has picked a baptismal date of March 9th and we are so excited to help her reach that!
Peter is doing awesome! It was his birthday this week and his dad flew out to surprise so then Peter, being the awesome missionary that he is, brought him to church on Sunday! He is the greatest. He basically doesn't even need us anymore even though he was just baptized because he is so good. Wow, I love him.
I had my last zone conference and gave my departing testimony so that was really weird. Every transfer I would watch missionaries give theirs and it never felt like I would be up there one day, but then it happened. It is really interesting to reflect on the past 17 months and all the things I have learned, all the people I have met, and all the ways I have grown. There really is nothing quite like serving a full time mission and I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity. I bore my testimony in sacrament meeting yesterday about how much God loves His children because I think that is one of the greatest things that I have come to know in my time here. It is incredible how much He loves everyone individually and how He has allowed me to feel just a part of that for so many people. I love being a missionary and being able to see all the potential there is in people to grow and become who they want to be and, better yet, who God wants them to be because they often can't see it in themselves. I think that the key to being able to see more of our own potential is by learning to trust God and feel of His love for us. I know that He loves you and that He is waiting to make a miracle out of you. Trust Him.
I love you all❤

scripture of the week: Moroni 7:41 “And what is it that ye shall hope for? Behold I say unto you that ye shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise.”
